This week lays the groundwork, exploring the philosophy and core components of Vedic Astrology.

  • What is Vedic Astrology? (1 hour)

    History, differences from Western astrology, purpose in Indian culture.

  • Karma, Time, and Cosmic Order (1 hour)

    Role of karma and kala (time) in Jyotish.

  • The Sidereal Zodiac & Nakshatras (1.5 hours)

    Introduction to star-based astrology (Nirayana system) and the 27 Nakshatras.

  • Research Your Birth Details (30 mins)

    Collect your accurate date, time, and place of birth for future chart analysis.

Assignment: Research your own date/time of birth and prepare for chart analysis.
